How we selected our vines a winemaking journey!
Our Vineyard is located in the upper Columbia River in Northeastern Washington. A unique terroir with a northerly climate challenges traditional wine grape varieties. For 5 years we tested 70 Global Grape Varieties. Survival of the Finest, only 7 Exceptional Varieties met our criteria Carefully Chosen for: Winter Resilient, Exceptional Flavor Profiles, Genetic Diversity and one Adapted to Our Unique Location. So that left us with with "Rare old world grape strains" which originated in the Alsace region in France and in Switzerland. Our wines Whites: Aurore ~ clean & fruity with a rich mouthfeel and smooth finish Siegerrebe ~ floral bouquet, crisp, very cleansing on the palate Reds: Leon Millot ~ rich, well rounded, and smooth Luci Kuhlman ~ peppery and fruity with a lingering finish. Marechal Foch ~ our most popular variety producing rich, earthy red wines and refreshing European style Rose’ wines Baco Noir~ very rich, yet soft and on the finish Lemberger~ an array of spicy flavors, rich, & smooth
